LEGENDARY BLUES ARTISTS AND BLUE BEAR STUDENT MUSICIANS COME TOGETHER TO CELEBRATE THE CONCORD PAVILION’S 50TH ANNIVERSARY
San Francisco/Concord CA – Blue Bear School of Music, the original “school of rock,” is proud to mark over 50 years of transforming lives through music with a special anniversary concert in partnership with Concord
Pavilion (now the Toyota Pavilion at Concord).
The all-day benefit concert, held in honor of both organizations' 50th anniversaries, will raise funds to support free and low-cost music programs for youth across the Bay Area. Blue Bear currently serves more than 800 children and young adults annually, many from underserved neighborhoods, through its three campuses and 15+ community partner sites.
Headlining the event are blues legends Elvin Bishop, Taj Farrant, Ana Popovic, DK Harrell, Tommy Castro, and Chris Cain.
This two-part concert event is hosted by The Jim Ocean Band that will showcase local talent and young performers from the Blue Bear School of Music, 2200 Bridgeway FKA The Record Plant Sausalito, and The Breedloves & Friends FKA Guitars Not Guns.
Greg Rahn’s Allstars shall host a plethora of talent featuring Elvin Bishop, Taj Farrant (etc…) with a spectacular finale all playing on stage together.
Hosted by Dan Ashley and Mickel London, the show also features local blues acts, Blue Bear All-Star teen bands, and special guest performances by the Breedloves & Friends alongside student musicians.
General Admission tickets are available via Ticketmaster and the Toyota Pavilion website. VIP packages, provided by Frazier Trager Presents, include premium seating, backstage access, catered food, and more.
Proceeds benefit Blue Bear School of Music and the Jeffrey Marshall Arts Foundation, supporting music access for kids of all ages and abilities.
